Parry Sound Ontario – May 3, 2010 - This past weekend the 1st Annual Kelly Shires TraX4 Breast Cancer ATV ride occurred in with conjunction with the 10th annual Can-Am Spring Jam.

Over 250 ATV participants took part in the Can-AM Spring Jam with 150 riders choosing to “ride for our cause” by wearing our TraX4 Breast Cancer pink bracelets thereby supporting those diagnosed with breast cancer. The weekend was jammed pack with events with central command at the Foley Fairgrounds.

Kicking off the weekend, everyone had the chance to visit Spring Jam’s ATV Village, where industry related companies displayed current ATV related items. With the Spring Jam Platinum partner Can-AM and their 53’ truck and trailer sporting their newest Can-Am products, to the Gold Partners Honda, ARGO and CFMOTO - everyone was there to support our participants wanting to try out the latest rides on a real-life test track!!

Participants were able to take part in the exclusive rumble ride which took them on a unique ride through the town of Parry Sound with views of Georgian Bay, the Harbour and final stop at the West Parry Sound Museum on Tower Hill where various dignitaries greeted everyone. The fun Poker Jam had everyone participating, making stops throughout the weekend at the various local poker jam sponsors in order to try and play their winning Poker hand for the $500 cash prize. It’s with great appreciation and thanks to the winner of the poker jam, Will from Artist of Life Tattoos in Hamilton, ON for subsequently donating his winnings to Kelly Shires TraX4 Breast Cancer!

Those who chose to “ride for our cause” were treated to a scrumptious breakfast at the Foley Fairgrounds, partially sponsored by local restaurant “Blake’s Memories of Muskoka” before they headed off for a fun filled day on their trail of choice.

At the end of the day everyone was welcomed back with a 5 star dinner catered by the Log Cabin. Part of the dinner included the opportunity to bid on some exciting silent auction prizes before the evening closed. For those still raring to go, an optional Sunday ride was available.

TraX4 Breast Cancer was welcomed with open arms by the regular Can-AM Spring Jam participants. “It was awesome to have avid ATV’s supporting our cause, wearing our pink bracelets while doing what they enjoy most! We definitely made a lot of new friends, who we look forward to seeing in the years to come” said Breast Cancer Warrior & Co-founder, Tracey Guthrie.

Special thanks to all the partners and friends that supported this event and made it possible. Particular thanks to our Platinum Sponsors Can-AM, Marvel Signs, BearClaw Tours, Tall Pine Cottages and the local dealer ‘The Cove’, but especially to the amazing folks that organize the Can-Am Spring Jam for making us part of the family. Looking forward another successful year for Can-AM SpringJam 2011 & TraX4 Breast Cancer!!
